Geometry Wars: Galaxies

Geometry Wars started out many years ago as an Easter Egg - a hidden game in Project Gotham Racing on the Xbox. When the Xbox 360 came out, an updated version (Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved) was made available on Xbox Live Arcade. Fans of shooters loved it. Fans of retro arcade games loved it. It was a fantastic high score chasing title.

Mario Strikers Charged Football

What do you get when you cross the countries best loved sporting game, with the countries best loved video game character? Lara Croft Beach Volleyball? No, it's Mario football! Except of course that being a Mario game, it bears only a passing resemblance to the beautiful game.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion

I reviewed the original Trauma Center on the Nintendo DS issue 07 of ugvm, but now the game has arrived on the Nintendo Wii and I've been playing it! It was a launch title in the US but has only just seen its European début.

Resident Evil 4

This Wii edition makes it the fourth time this game has been released, the first version appeared on the Gamecube way back in 2005. It was then given a second lease of life on the Playstation 2 later that same year and more recently has seen a PC version hit the shelves. So after all this time does Resident Evil 4 still make a good game, and more importantly what does it offer to gamers who have already completed it on another format?
