Yes, this again. For the record, this time I played it on my Retroflag GPi, and I played as Scarlet (the red one). One rival managed to make it to the Mother of All Battles at the end, and they were quickly dispatched.
Mega-lo-Mania (Mega Drive): COMPLETED!
Once more I was in the mood for some Mega-lo-Mania. I’ve gone into why I love the game before, but I just can’t stop playing it every so often. It is still The Best Game.
This time, I chose Oberon (the camp yellow guy), and when I reached the final level not one but two other gods managed to squirrel away some people for me to fight! Which took about ten seconds as I had loads and they had very few. Ah well.

Mega-lo-Mania (MD): COMPLETED!
Yes, this again. Seems I didn’t play it at all in 2023! How did that happen?
Anyhoo, this time through I played as Caesar (the green one), and for the first time I can remember, I wasn’t asked to form an alliance at all for the whole game. Normally at least someone panics and tries to get me to join with them, although I almost always decline.

As usual, I reached the Mother of All Battles as the end of the game as the only god who remembered to stash away some humans, so naturally I won that by default.
Mega-lo-Mania (MD): COMPLETED!
It was time to play this again. I mean, sure, it’s almost always time to play this, but it was especially time to play this just now.
Choosing Madcap this time, for no real reason, I made it through to the final level where I was once more unopposed. So an instant win, again. Ah well. The real fun was the fun we had along the way, or something.
Mega-lo-Mania (Evercade): COMPLETED!
Yes. I played Mega-lo-Mania again, and yes, I completed it again. This time, however, it was the recently released Evercade version! Which is just the Mega Drive version again only on an Evercade cart of course.
I chose to play as Scarlet this time through, and for the second time ever, one of the other players managed to stick some people in suspended animation for the Mother of All Battles. Of course, they only had about 10 of them whereas I had a couple of hundred or something, so they didn’t last long. Still, it’s the thought that counts, right?
