Oh, he’s a pain in the arse, isn’t he? So, I’m currently wearing two bits of Barroth armour (head and belt) and the rest is Jaggi. I’m using upgraded Ludroth Pair (dual swords) and doing a fair bit of damage, but that thunder attack keeps wreaking bloody havoc on me.
The good news is that a full set of Barroth armour will give me a nice thunder resist bonus. On top of that, some nice ThunderRes decorations will boost it a little more. The trouble is, the three parts of Barroth armour that I’m missing all need Fertile Mud and that just seems to be refusing to drop for me.
I think I’m going to take the approach of trying captures, as it seems to drop more frequently in capture rewards than it does just by whacking the mud off him and collecting the sparklies. Sigh.

So I did. Well, I sat there and pretended to, at least. That’s me in the Pikmin 3 themed house that showed up over Spotpass this week in the Happy Home Academy Showcase. I ordered some nice things from it too.
Aside from that diversion, I sold all my turnips and made about 4 million bells. I gave over a million away, because I’m nice like that. Invested in another 6000 turnips for this week, even though I don’t need much money now (my house is fully expanded for a start). I don’t really know why as I’m panicking already I might not sell them.
In town news, T&T has gone, to be replaced with T.I.Y., which incorporates some sort of hostile takeover of Leif’s gardening shop. Poor Leif. It was also fireworks night tonight, but my puny fireworks were a bit disappointing. And I couldn’t burn Redd with them.

This image shows just one of $hlmun places where I got stuck. So stuck I thought I’d have to give up. So I posted on Miiverse, and before I got a reply, I figured it out myself.
Exactly like I did with every other puzzle where I got stuck.
I’ve just realised this is the first time I’ve mentioned this game here. Not really surprising, as I bought it as soon as it came out, and hated it. It was too fiddly, the map was impossible to understand, and the puzzles were – even near the start – frustrating. I played for about an hour, and gave up.
Then I dug it out again a few days ago, and persevered with it. Eventually, the map made sense. I discovered ways of making creatures do things. I eventually figured out that our sparky chums in that screenshot could be doused with water to fizz them out. Then the second part of the game kicked in – you reach a giant heart, and are shown areas to find special frogs, which you have to lure into vacuum tubes. So off you go again, warping round (ah! that’s what the monoliths are for!) trying to get the special frogs.
And, somehow, the game is now awesome.
With 4 of the (it appears) 5 frogs caught, I think I’m nearing the end, but I’m really glad I gave Toki Tori 2 another shot.

Little inferno just for me!
