Completed – Monument Valley

Posted on 11/08/2014 Written by gospvg

A game truly suited to the device, making full use of the touch controls to give you a memorable experience.

It is a short game that you can complete in just over an hour but it is so beautifully made with some enjoyable puzzles. The Box is my favourite level slowly opening up to reveal it's interior.

Hopefully at some point there will be a future update to add more levels.

Trials Fusion – Man, Machine, Da

Posted on 10/08/2014 Written by gospvg

I have fallen out of love with Zelda Wind Waker at the moment, the just another dungeon gameplay is beginning to destroy my enjoyment in the game. I have left it in limbo to go & enjoy Trials Fusion (Purchased in the recent Playstation Store sale).

The boys have played quite a few tracks, so I like to gloat whenever I manage to beat the times they have set. I am not that good at the track stages but I do enjoy the skill games & looking forward to setting some records on them.

Completed – Epic Astro Story

Posted on 10/08/2014 Written by gospvg

Another Kairosoft game this time you are building your own planet, exploring caves & other planets to find treasure. Trying to attract more residents to settle on your planet which in turn increases your work force & drives up your revenue.

It's another Kairosoft classic & equally addictive.

R-Type Dimensions: completed!

Posted on 10/08/2014 Written by Xexyz

I've played through both R-Type I and R-Type II, at least, though I had to use a few continues on each.  I love R-Type, it's probably my favourite shooter with just the right level of complexity (with the force and varying powerups included) and varied stages - the first level boss is iconic, and the third level circling the ship throughout is equally memorable.

This is an excellent way to play both R-Type games.  You have the option of updated or original graphics, and switch between them on the fly (as you could with the Monkey Island remakes or Halo Anniversary).  The controls are suitably responsive, and other than that ... well, it's R-Type.

StreetPass Garden (3DS): COMPLETED!

Posted on 08/08/2014 Written by deKay

tumblr_na3xa46x0j1svmpf2o1_1280Another one of the Streetpass games completed! In that I became a Master Gardener (by growing 20 different breeds of plant), which enabled the end of game sequence and credits.

After which I was given a new, larger, gardening journal with space for another 60 breeds. And a bigger seed box. And some other stuff.

It seems like there’s still plenty to do. Unfortunately, I don’t think that my garden(s) will house that many plants, even if I buy the extra gardens to make some more storage space. I’m not sure I can cope with having to sell any – I already hate giving them away as part of the job requests!
